Thesis Requests (Bachelor/Master)
Information about doing a thesis in our Chair.
Thesis Process
If you want to do a thesis in our chair first (optionally) look in our (non-exhaustive) list of proposed thesis topics. Then use our Thesis Request Form to apply for a thesis.
If your application is accepted, you will be notified who your supervisor will be. You should then contact your supervisor for further instruction. You can also download a thesis starter kit here.
After securing a thesis topic, you will need to register their thesis with the Prüfungsamt. For this, you must download this form, fill it out and send it to this address.General information by the Prüfungsamt about the registration can be found here and here. Registration of bachelor and master theses can only happen at specific dates (generally every Tuesday during the lecture period). More information about the dates can be found here.
If you want to cancel a thesis, contact your supevisor. If the thesis has been registered, also contact the Prüfungsamt.
When registering a thesis, you must agree on a defense date with your supervisor. We offer two dates at the end of each semester. You keep the entire day free, though the exact time slot (up to two hours) will be confirmed two weeks prior.
