About
As Science Manager for Communication at the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML), Verena Albrecht serves as the central contact for all science communication and public relations activities. Her role focuses on translating complex research into accessible formats for diverse audiences, fostering dialogue between scientists, the public, and the media.
In addition to her role at MCML, she is pursuing a PhD at the Department of Media and Communication at LMU Munich. Her doctoral research focuses on the public communication of AI in the media landscape, with particular attention to framing, emotional tone, and the portrayal of scientific perspectives.
She holds an MSc in Consumer Science from the Technical University of Munich, where she developed a strong interdisciplinary foundation at the intersection of human behavior, technology, and communication. Prior to joining MCML, she worked at a communications agency, where she gained comprehensive expertise in strategic communication.
