The Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Statistics invites applications for a

Full Porfessorship (W3) of Computer Science with Focus "Human-Centered Ubiquitous Media" (Chair)

commencing as soon as possible.

The Chair will represent the discipline of Informatics in the areas of Human-Machine Interaction, Ubiquitous Computing, and Digital Media in full breadth. The process of advertising and filling this Chair takes place in the context of the Zentrum Digitalisierung.Bayern (ZD.B), the central element of the digitisation strategy BAYERN.DIGITAL. It is expected that applicants will cooperate with the administrative offce of the ZD.B in Garching bei München (Web site: and that they will contribute with their research to the projects and activities of the ZD.B. Participation in the Innovation Center "Mobile Internet" as well as in the "Center for InternetREsearch and Media Integration (CIM)" are planned.

The research focus comprises among others the following topics: New presentation and interaction forms of digital media and their organisation, usable methods for protection of security and privacy, user and context modeling and adaption, socially acceptable forms of interaction.

Prerequisites for the position are university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievments and a productive and promising research program.
