Research Focus

My research centers on uncertainty quantification, uncertainty decomposition techniques, and representation learning, especially applied to medical imaging. I'm fascinated by the challenge of connecting theoretical advancements with real-world uses, particularly in the medical field, where complexities are plentiful. I'm passionate about exploring how advanced computational methods can improve our grasp of medical images, particularly in tasks like tumor segmentation and classification. By untangling uncertainty and using advanced learning methods, my goal is to enhance medical image analysis, leading to more refined interpretations. Therefore, I'm collaborating with the radiology department at the LMU Klinikum in Großhadern.
