Research Focus

Alessandro is an external Ph.D. student working on a practice-based doctoral thesis at Intel Labs. His research focuses on developing novel parallel algorithms targeting neuromorphic devices, with a focus on the Intel Loihi 2 neuromorphic research chip. Currently, he is exploring how iterative optimization algorithms can be formulated as spiking neural networks dynamics and mapped to neuromorphic hardware, enabling orders of magnitude gains in time to solution, scalability, and energy efficiency.
